Babblevoice Phone Accreditation

Babblevoice maintains three levels of accreditation for phones:

  • Partial Accreditation: Ensures the phone works with babblevoice, but may not offer the best user experience.
  • Full Accreditation: Provides better overall support and sound quality.
  • Higher Full Accreditation: Offers an even higher standard. Phones with Full or Higher Full Accreditation also receive a Sound Quality mark.

Full Accreditation + ZTP

Phones must meet the Full Accreditation standard plus:

Full Accreditation

Phones at this level meet our stringent quality and integration standards. They must satisfy the Partial Accreditation criteria plus:

  • Deployable via the babblevoice provisioning system
  • Built-in directory with sync capability with babblevoice
  • Support for multiple lines for multiple SIP accounts
  • Voice Quality score of 7 or more

Partial Accreditation

Phones with Partial Accreditation must support SIP with SRV records to connect with babblevoice and have published instructions on our site. They must also meet these standards:

  • Voice Quality score of 5 or more
  • Support for either G711, iLBC, or G722 (HD) codecs

Sound Quality

Sound quality is assessed by a babblevoice Engineer based on:

  • Codec Support: Support for 1, 2, or all 3 codecs listed above (up to 3 marks)
  • G722 Codec: Phones supporting G722 can receive an additional mark (1 mark)
  • Microphone and Speaker Build Quality: Evaluates the quality of sound produced and recorded by the handset (up to 4 marks)
  • Handsfree Speaker and Microphone Build Quality: Evaluates the sound quality for handsfree operation (up to 2 marks)
